Cave Spring Work Continues
On Saturday, October 10 twenty more volunteers worked in the rain to place soil and plant new perennials. The reclamation of this unique natural and historic spot is nearly complete. Never been to Cave Spring? Here's a map to help you find it.
Next Tuesday, October 27 we need a handful of folks to help with finishing touches like mulching, path work, and clean up!
Shelby Avenue Tree Planting
On November 14th and 15th you can help plant trees along Shelby Avenue - the first installment of 500+ trees that will form the 2.5 mile long Shelby Avenue arboretum. This Nashville Tree Conservation Corps project will eventually extend into Shelby Park!

Cornelia Fort Picnic Party
Only One Week Left To Order!
Support Shelby Park and Bottoms and enjoy a take-home Cornelia Fort Picnic Party. The October picnic features snacks from Lillian St. Bread and In Good Company. Each cooler comes with a bottle of wine from Woodland Wine Merchant and a six-pack of beer from Yazoo Brewery.
This month every picnic includes 2 Cornelia Fort Airpark mugs from our friends at Morgan Dale Law.
John and Sarah are park users, volunteers, and Friends of Shelby Members.
We love Shelby! It is an incredibly special place. No matter the season, we can spend an afternoon walking the greenway, tandem biking at Cornelia, or chipping around on the golf course. It's the best place to energize in the morning or wind down after a busy day. There is truly something for everyone. We support Friends of Shelby so that we can preserve this magical park that really feels like an extension of our home.

Shelby License Plate Update
First, we reached 400 presales earlier this month! Bringing us even closer to our goal of 1000.
Second, we have refreshed and refined the plate design for final production. The main change is the much-requested incorporation of the Shelby train trestle into the design. And like Shelby Bottoms, there is also a mysterious friend - can you find her?
Preorder your plate today for just $35 and help create sustained funding for Shelby Park and Bottoms. The only East Nashville specialty license plate.
