If you’ve ever journeyed around Lake Sevier, watched ducks, pushed a stroller, run solo or with a group, or joined Walking Club — you’ve experienced part of this loop.

But one section remains unfinished.

With your help, we can finally complete the full one-mile path and make it safer for everyone who walks here — especially older adults and families.

When you donate June 1 through June 10, your contribution will:

Create a safer pedestrian pathway along the roadway
Install a newly aligned crosswalk to improve visibility and safety for all users
Ensure the path is accessible and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Complete the 1-mile walking loop

“I walk here every week with friends and with Shelby Walking Club. That last stretch near traffic does not feel safe. Completing the loop will make a big difference for me.

A smooth surface, safer crossings, clear sig”nage, and additional benches will create a place where older adults can walk with confidence, rest when needed, and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outside. It will allow more people to say “yes” to walking, whether for exercise, friendship, or peace of mind.”
