Shelby Park and Bottoms is home to four playgrounds.
Nature Play at the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center
Picnic Pavilions
Shelby Park and Bottoms features 7 reservable picnic pavilions for you to host your reunions, cookouts, or other outings with friends and family. All reservations are made through the Metro Parks Department.
Shelby Dog Park
There are lots of opportunities for fun with your canine friends in Shelby Park, with the Shelby Dog Park at the top of the list. The spacious, fenced, and double-gated park is located behind the Shelby Park Community Center at 401 S 20th St.
The dog park offers plenty of room for dogs to frolic and play fetch while their owners chat and mingle. Dog-friendly water fountains, waste bag dispensers, and trash receptacles are available on site.
The two-acre, fenced area is open from dawn until dusk 365 days a year.
